Common micro soldering jobs we handle

USB-C/HDMI ports

Charging or video ports torn off the board, no charge/no video, loose fit. Through-hole and surface-mount.

Phones • Laptops • Consoles

FPC/board connectors

Ripped display, battery, or antenna connectors. Clean pad prep and alignment under microscope.

Precision alignment

IC & BGA work

Charge IC, audio IC, PMIC, Wi-Fi, NAND, and SoC-adjacent BGA. Reball/rework with thermal profiling.

Lead-free or leaded

Backlight & rails

No display/low brightness from backlight ICs, filters, or line damage. Proper conformal coating on completion.

Backlight restore

Short-to-ground

Thermal/voltage drop hunt on shorted power rails. Current-limited injection when appropriate.

Board diagnostics

Liquid damage

Ultrasonic cleaning, corrosion removal, and selective component replacement to stabilize power and boot.

Frequently asked questions

What devices do you accept for micro soldering?

Phones, tablets, laptops/desktops, game consoles/handhelds, cameras, small audio gear (DAC/amp), drones and other consumer electronics. If it’s a PCB and fits on the bench, we’ll evaluate it.

Can you recover data from a dead board?

Often, yes. We stabilize power/boot or repair critical rails and attempt logical access. Success depends on the state of storage (e.g., NAND). “No data, no fee” may apply for select cases—ask for details.

How does pricing work?

Most jobs fall into the ranges above. We finalize your quote after inspection once we know the failure mode, access, and whether there’s prior board work.

What is the typical turnaround?

Simple ports and connectors: same day to next day. IC/BGA, shorts, or liquid damage: 1–3 days depending on parts and queue.

Is there a warranty?

Yes—limited warranty against defects in parts/workmanship. It does not cover new physical or liquid damage, nor unrelated failures on aged boards.

Do you accept mail-in?

Yes. Use our mail-in form. Pack well with ESD protection and include a note with the issue and passcode if applicable.
