Why choose Gadget Rehab for microsoldering
Board-level diagnosis, microscope work, hot air and BGA reflow/reball in-house. We don’t guess; we measure.
Proper pad prep, flux discipline, thermal profiling, and post-repair QC (charge, boot, thermals, lines).
We quote before work begins. Diagnostics are credited when you approve the repair.
Fast intake with photo logging. We return ESD-packed with tracking and optional insurance.
Liquid damage and multi-fault boards can be unstable; we’ll explain risks and probable outcomes up front.
Limited warranty on parts/workmanship for board-level repairs. Physical damage and subsequent liquid exposure are excluded.
Frequently asked questions
What devices do you accept for micro soldering?
Phones, tablets, laptops/desktops, game consoles/handhelds, cameras, small audio gear (DAC/amp), drones and other consumer electronics. If it’s a PCB and fits on the bench, we’ll evaluate it.
Can you recover data from a dead board?
Often, yes. We stabilize power/boot or repair critical rails and attempt logical access. Success depends on the state of storage (e.g., NAND). “No data, no fee” may apply for select cases—ask for details.
How does pricing work?
Most jobs fall into the ranges above. We finalize your quote after inspection once we know the failure mode, access, and whether there’s prior board work.
What is the typical turnaround?
Simple ports and connectors: same day to next day. IC/BGA, shorts, or liquid damage: 1–3 days depending on parts and queue.
Is there a warranty?
Yes—limited warranty against defects in parts/workmanship. It does not cover new physical or liquid damage, nor unrelated failures on aged boards.
Do you accept mail-in?
Yes. Use our mail-in form. Pack well with ESD protection and include a note with the issue and passcode if applicable.
