Original Xbox One HDMI Replacement

A faulty HDMI port is highly common on older consoles. Because the original Xbox One has both an "HDMI IN" and "HDMI OUT" port side-by-side, customers frequently force the cable into the wrong slot, severely bending the internal pins and causing a complete loss of video signal.

  • The Symptoms: The console powers on and stays on, but your TV displays "No Signal", a black screen, or distorted fuzzy graphics.
  • The Solution: We utilize advanced motherboard micro-soldering to extract the broken port and install a brand new, upgraded HDMI port.

Age-Related Failures

Common Original Xbox One Issues

Because these consoles are over a decade old, mechanical components like hard drives, optical lasers, and external power bricks fail frequently. We have the expertise to restore your system.

Hard Drive / E-Errors

Getting an E100, E101, or E102 startup error? This means your internal mechanical hard drive has failed due to age. We can replace it with a faster SSD and reinstall the offline OS update.

Not Playing Discs?

Drives that won't eject, make grinding noises, or fail to read media properly. We repair mechanical jams and replace faulty, burnt-out optical lasers.

Loud Fan / Overheating

Is the console sounding like a jet engine? The thermal paste from 2013 has likely turned to chalk. We provide deep interior cleaning and reapply premium thermal compound.

Power Brick Failure

Unlike newer models, the original Xbox One uses a massive external power brick. If your console won't turn on, bring the console AND the brick in so we can properly diagnose the failure.

Trusted Professionals

Highly skilled technicians adept at solving complex Xbox motherboard logic problems.

Fast Service

Don't wait weeks for factory repairs. Almost all of our standard Xbox repairs take less than 4 hours to complete.

Limited Warranty

We strictly use high-durability replacement ports and drives, and back all of our repairs with a solid warranty.

Console Repair FAQs

What does an E101 or E102 error mean?
These are system crash errors that almost always indicate the internal mechanical Hard Disk Drive (HDD) has failed due to old age. We can extract the dead drive, install a brand new (and much faster) Solid State Drive (SSD), and cleanly reinstall the Xbox operating system to bring the console back to life.
My Original Xbox One won't turn on. Is it the console or the power brick?
Because the Original Xbox One uses an external power supply (power brick), failure to turn on is very often caused by a burnt-out brick, not the console itself. Bring both your console and your power brick to our shop for a free diagnostic so we can tell you exactly which part needs replacing.
Do I need an appointment?
No appointments are necessary. Just stop by Gadget Rehab in Seattle, and an expert will take it from there. Because we are so efficient, almost all of our Xbox repairs take less than 4 hours to complete.
What is your warranty?
We offer a standard limited lifetime warranty on most repairs. However, specific hardware repairs such as hard drives, HDMI ports, and motherboard soldering are covered for 6 months against manufacturer defects.
