Comprehensive Fixes

Common Switch Issues

The Switch is highly portable, which makes it susceptible to drops, spills, and worn-out charging ports. Our master microsoldering technicians handle it all.

USB-C / Won't Dock

If your console charges but won't output video to the TV, the internal P13USB video chip or the USB-C port is damaged. We micro-solder brand new components to the logic board.

Joy-Con Rails & Drift

Are the controllers sliding off the side of the console? Do characters move on their own? We fix analog stick drift and replace damaged aluminum sensor rails on the console body.

Cracked Screens

The original Switch has a plastic digitizer over an LCD. Whether your outer touchscreen is scratched or your inner LCD is bleeding colors, we can safely replace either layer.

Water Damage & BSOD

A solid blue screen means the CPU has disconnected due to bending or drops. Spilled liquids cause short circuits. Keep the console off and bring it to us for an advanced logic board diagnostic.

Console Repair FAQs

Will I lose my game save data during the repair?
No! Replacing hardware components like the screen, battery, or charging port does not erase your save data. Games like Pokémon and Animal Crossing that do not support cloud backups are perfectly safe on your device's motherboard during standard repairs.
Why is my Switch not charging or connecting to the TV dock?
This is extremely common. It is usually caused by a physically damaged USB-C charging port, or a blown internal power management chip (specifically the M92T36 or P13USB chip). Our micro-soldering experts can desolder the dead chip/port and install a brand new one to restore dock functionality.
Do I need an appointment?
No appointments are necessary. Just stop by Gadget Rehab in Seattle, and an expert will take it from there. Almost all of our Nintendo Switch repairs take less than 3 hours to complete.
